Joana's update

Please let us know if you’d like to Sleep for love!
This week we are putting out our call for participants:

Instructions for participants
Thanks for agreeing to participate in our study!  Here is what you need to do:
  • Please use the enclosed T-shirt to sleep in for three nights in a row.
  • Don’t alter your daily routine, feel free to shower and use deodorant if you normally do.  The only constraint is that you do not share your bed with another person during this time.
  • At the end of the three nights, place the T-shirt in the ziplock bag.
  • Fill out the enclosed form.
  • Place the ziplock in the enclosed, addressed & stamped enveloped and drop it in the mail!

What happens next?
  • Each shirt will be sewn into a small, breathable pillow.
  • The tester (a woman) will sleep with your pillow for one night.  She will record in the morning how she slept and how she feels.  She will do this with pillow we provide her.
  • If she specially slept well with a pillow (and you have agreed to it), we will mail you a pillow with her shirt inside.

Pooneh's update

Joana and I chatted last week; it was a pretty cool conversation. While Joana is working on fabrics to make the sachets, I am trying to buy all the materials (including T-shirts, envelopes, Ziploc, etc) and prepare 10 packages for the participants. The natural odor soaked into the T-shirt (if it’s not overly powerful), is powerful enough where we feel an attraction to it. Let’s take this as a sign of hope.
