In our increasingly complex world, knowing a little about a lot not only grounds our own interests within all spheres of knowledge, but helps us foster the holistic thinking that will illuminate our questions with innovative and unique points of view. At the SciArt Book Club, we aim to cover a variety of big topics through short texts - generally, through Oxford's Very Short Introduction series, which provide concise yet comprehensive introductions to some of today's most scientifically and socially vital topics.
LASER - Leonardo Art Science Evening Rendezvous - is a cross-disciplinary talk series started by Leonardo/the International Society for Arts, Sciences, and Technology.
In collaboration with swissnex Boston, LASER Boston features local and visiting artists, scientists, technologists, and creative professionals. Surrounding central topics from different points of view, LASER Boston aims to generate cross-disciplinary discovery, dialogue, and collaboration.
Our semi-annual events include our science-art exhibitions, talk series, and one-off events such as performances, readings, and workshops. If you are intersted in partnering with us for a new event series or one-off event, email our director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
SciArt Center curates 2-4 exhibitions per year on themes within science and technology. Our exhibitions have taken place in New York, Pennsylvania, Canada, the United Kingdom, and beyond. Check out our exhibitions page for more information on past, current, and upcoming shows.
