Social Media Manager position is now open for applications
SciArt Center is currently accepting applications for our Social Media Manager (SMM) position!
The SMM is responsible for posting on SciArt's Facebook and Twitter daily from a selection of provided, internally generated, and found content. While this position is volunteer, our SMM will have their fee waived when applying to any of our open calls (art shows, residency, etc.), and will be provided support in exploring other interests and opportunities within and outside of SciArt. We like to see all of our team members succeed and pursue their passions, and we love to write recommendation letters for future jobs or program applications. All team members work very closely together, and report directly to Julia, our director. We encourage all team members to voice their ideas about how to improve our activities - we like self-starters and creative thinkers!
You would make a great SMM if you:
- can cultivate a fun, intelligent, sharp, and supportive social media voice which engages a wide audience
- are enthusiastic about spreading the word about great projects and events by our community members and partner organizations
- have attention to detail when writing posts (English must be first language), with excellent language and grammar skills
- are organized and can curate a different selection of content from day to day to keep our posts fresh and engaging
- are looking for experience in social media management as a resume builder
- have ideas about how to help SciArt's social media presence improve and grow
- are looking to work for an organization that has international reach and provides you opportunities based on your interests
If you are interested in this position, please write an email to Julia (SciArt Director) at [email protected] which includes:
(1) a 500 word or less email which explains why you are excited about this position, why you think you would be a good fit, and how you became interested in the science-art intersection
(2) your most recent CV/resume
If we think you may be a good fit, we'll contact you to set up a skype interview.
